The ECSEL Symposium 2018 was held in Brussels on June 19 & 20.
Industry, research, finance and the academic world participated together with policy makers at European, National and Regional levels.
The UE “Electronic Vision” and…”how to get there!” was in the opening discussed by important stakeholders (Alessandro Curioni, IBM Fellow, Vice President Europe and Director IBM Research Zurich; Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society; Luuk Borg, Policy Advisor to the Innovation Unit, DG CNECT, EC; Alberto Casorati, Innovation Finance Advisor, European Investment Bank; François Gilles, Director in Strategy & Corporate Finance, Deloitte Luxembourg).
Also, new perspectives in the digital sector and “How the digital transformation will change our world” were treated.
The second full day, after an introductory notes by Yves Gigase, Head of Programmes of the ECSEL JU, has been dedicated to “How ECSEL JU funded projects impact real life and business”, and on “ ECSEL JU towards Horizon Europe”.
A poster of WInSiC4AP and a presentation were produced and the project was represented by the Coordinator and some other partners participating at the event.
